AgitArte is made up of working class artists and cultural organizers who create work rooted in cultural solidarity with grassroots struggles against oppression. Their projects are geared towards proposing alternatives that generate possibilities for transformation in our world. They group lead community-based educational and arts programs.

In the immediate aftermath of Hurricane María, AgitArte transformed their Casa-Taller (Home-Workshop) in Santurce, into a vibrant hub of relief services: providing meals to local community members through their Comedor Solidario (Solidarity Kitchen), receiving and distributing aid from the Diaspora, and serving as a center of communications - connecting neighbors to loved ones and disseminating updates on relief efforts and the political crisis in Puerto Rico.
