Centro de Periodismo Investigativo
They are a non-profit organization that conducts research and distributes its content for free, directly to readers and mass media in Puerto Rico and abroad, promoting access to information through three main channels: investigative journalism , litigation and journalistic training. With a group of outstanding journalists in the investigation, they carry out and publish reports that oversee public management and public and private social powers, demanding greater transparency in their actions. In addition to investigative work, three years ago, they developed a Journalistic Training Institute, which offers professional training opportunities and scholarships to journalists from Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. On the other hand, they educate and guide the communities so that they know the processes and mechanisms for claiming information and can carry them out on their own. This is done through workshops and providing access to models of legal documents with which they can make their claims themselves in court.
