Centro de Apoyo Mutuo La Olla Común
La Olla Común is a collective that manages community work in the urban area of Río Piedras formed on October 2017. After Hurricane Maria, many members of the community of Río Piedras were in a situation of great precariousness. La Olla was one of several initiatives that created in response to this. Together with other groups, they identified the urgent needs of the community and coordinated efforts to address them. One of the greatest needs in this community after Hurricane María was food.
La Olla Común is a collectivity, and a project that does not foster dependency and is a laboratory for skills, whose mission is to facilitate processes of political education and community organizing.
