Centro de Apoyo Mutuo Jíbaro

CAMji-CETA, is a community-based organization in the town of Lares. The Center for Transdisciplinary Studies in Agro-Ecology (CETA) is a space designed to encourage the development of the popular agroecology movement in Puerto Rico. Their action is therefore a movement, linked primarily to the agroecological networks of the center and west center of the island. Their vision is territorial, community, agro-food and framed in the principle of social justice. They want to see reconstituted peasant jíbaras communities as nuclei of popular power capable of self-managing the elements for their own sustainable development.
